New Stats

J had his 3 year old well visit last week. All went well, and the doctor continues to be happy with his continual growth. Here are his stats:

Height: 38 3/4 in. (75th percentile)
Weight: 37.6 pounds (90th percentile)
Blood Pressure: 88/42

Speaking of development, we go back to the doctor on Friday to check on Baby #2. At 12 weeks, they offered the blood test to check for Down Syndrome, Trisomy 21, Spina Bifida, etc. In addition, they do an ultrasound to check measurements as a backup. We opted out of the blood test with J, and the ultrasound wasn't even offered. We went ahead this time with it. The doctor explained that it was NOT a way out of the pregnancy, instead it can be a way to prepare the parents and doctors for a potential problem. The nurse called a couple of weeks ago to say everything looked great! They also took a peek at the gender last time, but the baby is so small that it is difficult to really tell. The sonographer took a guess, though. We'll know for sure in January! :)
