35 Weeks

Four weeks from today, I will be delivering our baby boy! I saw Dr. Barnes on Monday, and everything looks great! I am measuring at 33.5 weeks, but she said you can be 3 cm. above or below where you are in the pregnancy. She also doesn't think he will be a big baby. I am not too concerned about that this time since I will be having a c-section. Dave, J, and I did take a quick trip to the Maternity Center last Tuesday night at the request of the on call nurse. It turns out that I have costocondritis which is simply inflammation of the rib joints, and attachments of intercostal muscles to the ribs. I was also having a few contractions. I really didn't want to go in, because I knew it wasn't preterm labor, and there would be nothing they could do for me. I had felt the baby move for the 8 hours that I was in pain, so I knew he was ok. But, when a nurse tells a Mommy that her baby could be in distress, she will go in to be seen!!! However, I was not happy that J didn't get to bed until 11:00 p.m. that night with two speech sessions the next day. He was completely fine, though.
