Miss Lyda-this lady is like an angel on earth! She knows Jackson and Parker very well, because we have been going in there since they were about 20 mos. old. When they are not too busy or if we are there around the time it clears out, she will spend a little extra time with our boys! One of the first things she let them do was come inside this cleaning closet in the back of the playplace. They thought it was so cool! Then, she gave them a turn at sweeping. Those jobs lasted awhile---a few weeks. Then, we went through the balloon phase which I was GLAD to see leave. I am not a fan of little ones having latex ballons! When we go in there now, she takes our order from the table, and the boys always get ice cream when they are finished. It gets even better--she lets both of them go behind the counter and make their own ice cream cone! We are that the point where J asks to go to Chick-fil-A everyday, and I mean every single day! Kelley and I laugh when we think about these boys and Miss Lyda. Why wouldn't they want to go everyday? In just one lunch (last week), they got their usual lunch and playtime, a chance to win a free dessert (and they did!), a sample of the new grilled tenders, and the ice cream cone from behind the counter! Miss Lyda doesn't leave out L and K, either. She is always talking to them and even told me she added them to her prayer list along with their older brother! Oh, and in case you are wondering how J feels about Miss Lyda...he runs and gives her a BIG hug at the first moment he spots her!
