One of our friends is a little girl who also has apraxia, and she is going to camp, too. Her mom and I decided to let them carpool, since it is about a 30 min. drive, and we both have younger boys. These two are hilarious -- never shed a tear about going with the other and remind us to get the other one! M makes sure J gets to his class ok, and he makes sure his seat is moved in the car to put hers in. J sings Journey to her on the way there, and she gives him the sweetest smile. They talk about what they like to eat, all that they are learning at camp, and so on..
The way the camp works is there is one SLP in the class and 4 interns, students in school to become a SLP. Many students apply for these postions, but there are only 32 chosen. They don't make a lot of money, but the experience is awesome! In turn, our children get tons of attention, because the ratio is so good! Some of the interns had never met or worked with an apraxic child, but had learned a lot about it. They were ready to meet J...he is pretty classic apraxic!

Jackson making his sink or float prediction
A silly story

Even the teachers made a cute farmer! Can you find Jackson's? Hint: Jackson's blue ribbon fell off!
