Chuck E. Cheese

On Saturday morning, we went to a friend's 3rd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. I think this was our first trip there with J. He loves other game rooms, so I felt like he would enjoy it. He LOVED it there! The nice part is that the birthday boy's mom handed us all a cup of coins to use, so J now realizes that these games require money. He always thought he was really playing some of them in other game rooms. The riding toys were fun, too! He loved just coming up to the cup, getting a coin, and making the rides go instead of hearing that Mommy doesn't have anymore change. Skee ball was also a new game for him. Did you know that you can play it overhanded? Just ask the three year olds from the party...they showed us how it was done. I was a little worried we might take a few people out! Like any good parent, we showed him the right way, and he did try it our way, too.

Daddy is so glad he could come along. He insisted J needed his help! :)





We came home and played with one of our best buddies in the neighborhood and from school. After a potty accident, stumped toe, spilled apple juice, and a few boo-boos on our friend, we called it a day. But, not before we had a nap and headed to dinner & one of Mommy's favorite kid stores. Yes, my time apart from Janie and Jack had been too long. Baby brother got a new outfit for the fall, and J got some new big boy underwear from Gymbo...thank goodness for Friends and Family sales in these stores! Oh, we also got some ice cream afterwards. We, meaning Dave and me...our child, who must have been switched at birth, requested applesauce over ice cream.
