Easter Egg Hunt..the ONE and ONLY :(
We must have missed the advertisements for egg hunts in our area, because I didn't hear of a single one this year! Luckily, on Saturday, my sister and nephew, John, came over for a visit. Oh my, Jackson had a BLAST! It was a day filled with eating, shopping, games, EGG HUNTING, and playground fun!

Spring Break
Spring Break was filled with playdates, lunch dates, and just some much needed FREE time for the boys and me! Last Monday, the boys and I headed to see my good friend, Angela, and her boys. We only live an hour apart, but our schedules only allow us to get together during school breaks. We spent some time at a playground, and then we had lunch at Moe's! Angela and I snuck in a quick trip to one of our favorite stores, but our oldest boys weren't very impressed. Needless to say, we were in and out in record time!

And, of course, I didn't get any pictures from one of our other special lunch dates. My friend, Kristen, and her two little girls were in town, and we met for lunch. Our oldest children are just 3 mos. apart, and I have so any sweet memories of them as babies! Our youngest children haven't grown up together but are similar in that they both have a lot of PERSONALITY!
We spent some time with friends here, too. Over the past year, I have had a chance to meet many other moms who have children with Apraxia. Two of the moms have become very good friends of mine. We have things in common beyond apraxia -- our careers for one, but their children are now buddies of Jackson! I am so thankful for these girls, and it is quite entertaining, at times, but also very comforting to see these children play together!
Dave started a new job!!! He was so excited to start this job, and he had a great first week! His commute is a little longer, but he doesn't mind the extra time in the car. He probably likes the peace and quiet after being here! I miss him being at home more, but I am very thankful for how hard he works. He likes what he does, and I get to be at home with the boys! Some moms say staying at home isn't for them, but I consider it a blessing. It's a difficult job at times, but I treasure these days with my young children!

Happy Easter
Today was a BUSY but very special day! Luke celebrated his first Easter! Our day started early, at 6:30 a.m. to be exact, so that we could be at church by 8:30. Dave and I were greeters until the 11:00 service, so we had to somewhat rearrange our usual Easter morning with Easter baskets in the afternoon, a few quick pics before we left, and a story about what Easter REALLY is during breakfast with Jackson. It made the most sense to change around a few things, and to be honest, we don't really talk a lot about the Easter bunny, and J didn't know the difference. The boys had already received gifts from both grandparents in the mail! After church, we had lunch with our neighbor friends, and Jack loved having his friend, Noah, at church AND lunch with us! Luke spent his entire Easter afternoon sleeping! He played a lot at church and was so tired! It was a very sweet day for us!
