I am soo behind on posting, but what better way to pick it up than with birthday celebrations! We went to our friend, Parker's, fifth birthday party in November at a ranch. Really cool! Dave and I agreed that this was such a good experience for both boys. To be honest, J hasn't been to a zoo since he was 18 mos old and has only been to a small farm around Halloween a couple of years ago. This place had a small playground where the kids could play while waiting on the party to start. Perfect. Then, we ate lunch and went on a wagon ride where the animals come right up to let you feed them. Luke wasn't so into that, but after riding for just a bit, J asked for a bucket of food to feed the animals. Personally, I liked the experience as long as I didn't have to get too close to the animals. Dave, on the other hand, loved it all! After the ride, you could feed some additional animals behind the fences. The boys did not want to leave but were exhausted and filthy. Perfect. Sure signs of a great time :)

1st Annual Walk for Apraxia
On October 6th, we had the opportunity to walk in honor of our sweet boy and raise awareness about apraxia. Two other moms, a dad, and I put our heads together to plan this walk a little less than a year ago and truly never imagined the outcome would be THIS successful. We had close to 30 friends and family walking in honor of Jackson, and we raised over $1000. What a special piece of Jackson's history...

An Afternoon Outside
Both boys LOVE playing outside! The weather has been so nice that we go for a walk and play outside almost everyday. Luke thinks he can keep up with Jackson! It is so funny how he doesn't even seem to realize he is SMALLER, not to mention lacks the same balance and coordination, as Jackson and his buddies. He definitely has no fear!
L often wants what J has....
Oh, good gracious...it is no wonder I have to question Big Brother when L is crying! ;) To be totally honest, J is very sweet to L, but he is a typical big brother!
